"Goofster", a derivative of Disney's Goofy, is the nickname that my step-daughter, Christina and I used for each other. It started one day when we were teasing each other for acting silly. We defined Goofsters as people who like to sing, dance and listen to loud music in the car. Over time, we called each other Goofster more often than by our names, and it became a way to denote our special relationship. Christina would often ask if other people that I was close with, like my godsons Talon and Joey, were "goofsters" too. I would respond that only we could be Goofsters ...
I miss Christina terribly every single day, but most of all when I hear the songs we loved ...
